Saturnino Endura made a great header on Hermosillo FC's corner, it was just that Callegari's Paulo Renato Falcão managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when Callegari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Paulo Renato Falcão managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Hermosillo FC's Cecilio Afonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hermosillo FC's Silvano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Paraibano in the 27th minute of play. Silvano Benat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Duarte went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Gustavo Duarte struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Silvano Benat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Callegari. 46 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Duarte came free, but Silvano Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Hermosillo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Callegari were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Cecilio Afonso made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Wilfredo Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Afonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hermosillo FC reached it. In the 77th minute, Gustavo Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaká Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Benat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramón Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 84 minute of play. When Ramón Paraibano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Callegari eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
