In the 4th minute, Paulinho Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Marcinho Sampaio hit a great ball. When Gigi Câmpeanu fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's protests and gave Gigi Câmpeanu a yellow card for diving instead. Gigi Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Aílton Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea got control of the ball when Paulinho Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Eric Drăgan. In the 18th minute of the match César Coelho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurel Tilea skillfully saved the ball. Aurel Tilea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Sampaio in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Câmpeanu in the 21st minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Tutuianu to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Paulinho Fonseca lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Aurel Tilea. With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea got control of the ball when Valdemar Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Mădălin Jupân was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Fernando Silva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eric Drăgan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jovens Democratas MZC's César Coelho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aurel Tilea but with some difficulty. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia! Paulinho Fonseca walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Paulinho Fonseca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 44th playminute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulinho Fonseca to make the kick off. Rogério Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Aurel Tilea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jovens Democratas MZC. Aurel Tilea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes, Paulinho Fonseca made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aílton Sousa hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Paulinho Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurel Tilea was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Liviu Sbârcea hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Paulinho Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Aurel Tilea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Pedrinho Cavalcante replaced Rogério Cardozo. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Aurel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Fonseca in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jovens Democratas MZC's zone, Mădălin Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Silva came out of the goal and Mădălin Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia defense, Paulinho Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurel Tilea. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurel Tilea should have stopped the shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's Paulinho Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Valdemar Guerra made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurel Tilea was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Paulinho Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurel Tilea having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jovens Democratas MZC fully deserved thier win.
