After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iordache Tutuianu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Marine in the 6th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Nechifor Oargă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Xian Olmedilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xulio Barroiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. West Town SC's Xian Olmedilla got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Cătălin Amuguroancei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Johnny Posadas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nechifor Oargă skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cătălin Amuguroancei hit a great ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Johnny Posadas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Town SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnny Posadas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 minutes, Liviu Sbârcea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia and the West Town SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nechifor Oargă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xian Olmedilla went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mădălin Jupân hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Xabier Cariga managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Town SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xabier Cariga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Oargă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute of the match Johnny Posadas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nechifor Oargă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half West Town SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigi Câmpeanu was the one to do the kick off. When Xulio Barroiz got free in front of the goal in the 53rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Nechifor Oargă was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xian Olmedilla in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gavril Niculiță hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Alin Feroiu. Nechifor Oargă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Xian Olmedilla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. Alin Feroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Niculiță in the 73rd minute of play forced West Town SC's goalkeeper Walter Entia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes, West Town SC's Neicer Pesquera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nechifor Oargă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Town SC reached it. Maximo Marine scored 0-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Oargă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86thth minute of the game Xian Olmedilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xian Olmedilla got free with Nechifor Oargă in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, West Town SC's Xian Olmedilla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nechifor Oargă. Nechifor Oargă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Francisc Codruț hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Gigi Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Xian Olmedilla's late challenge caught a FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xian Olmedilla helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, West Town SC's Xian Olmedilla got a free kick in the 97th minute. West Town SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
