The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Tróia got free with Bogdan Neaga in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Giurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Arseanu in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of FC Maci -MM- booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Giurcă in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Eugen Spoială hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Carioca to make the kick off. The referee ignored FC Maci -MM-'s protests and gave Aristide Hodorog a yellow card for diving instead. Cássio de Senna made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Andrei Arseanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Armando Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Neaga. FC Maci -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 78thth minute of the game Alin Giurcă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genílson Andrade's late challenge caught a FC Maci -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. Cássio de Senna didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna got control of the ball when Alin Giurcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nicolae Pădureanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Maci -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolae Pădureanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cássio de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute of the game, Olavo Carioca landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The Poetass FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Maci -MM-'s performance. The match ended with a win for FC Maci -MM-.
