An unexpectedly hard shot by Baptiste Beck in the 4th minute of play forced Suprs Academia's goalkeeper Manuel Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Boniface Fulton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Antonia Webb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Héctor Chirol hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marcelo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Irving Dennis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Héctor Chirol to strike the kick off in the second half. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Irving Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Chirol in the 51st minute of play. Suprs Academia's Arthur Zico got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Eusebio Briggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Irving Dennis came out of the goal and Arthur Zico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Anton Coulombe hit a great ball. Suprs Academia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sport Lisboa e Benfica for a fine match.
