Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Georges Christopher couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grêmio Papão de WC. Alberto Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Irving Dennis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Grêmio Papão de WC booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Coulombe didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Reis in the 29th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Irving Dennis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Weidt. Grêmio Papão de WC's Hílton Prata was substituted for Norberto Quadros. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Augusto Weidt hit a great ball. Hílton Prata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Irving Dennis having to make a save. In the 41st minute of the match Luiz Fábio Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Irving Dennis skillfully saved the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's Dadá Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irving Dennis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Irving Dennis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dadá Amorim's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonia Webb was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Antonia Webb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 58 minutes into the game, Dadá Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Irving Dennis. Dadá Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Hílton Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute of the match Grêmio Papão de WC got a corner. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fábio Vinhas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlton Andrade hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Irving Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Vinhas in the 71st minute of the match. Moisés da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boniface Fulton in the 75th minute of the match. After 80th play minutes Dadá Amorim shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Irving Dennis and just under the crossbar into goal. Luiz Maia's late challenge caught a Sport Lisboa e Benfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irving Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With an all-out effort, Grêmio Papão de WC's Irving Dennis threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dadá Amorim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eusebio Briggs kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
