After some careless play in the River LOA defense, Bengt-Åke Thidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon María Waddington. The River LOA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon María Waddington should have stopped the shot. Ramon María Waddington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Brolin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Bengt-Åke Thidén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, River LOA's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Thidén came free, but Ramon María Waddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River LOA's Ramon María Waddington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Hedlund in the 18th minute of play. Bartolomé Renner hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ramon María Waddington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 24th minute of play. Bengt-Åke Thidén took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon María Waddington. Ramon María Waddington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 29 minutes into the match, River LOA's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Hedlund came free, but Ramon María Waddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olof Brolin took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon María Waddington. Ramon María Waddington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 33 minutes into the match, Bengt-Åke Thidén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramon María Waddington. River LOA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Åke Thidén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 38th minute Rickard Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon María Waddington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, River LOA's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Thidén came free, but Ramon María Waddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when River LOA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Ramon Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Bengt-Åke Thidén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilesindo Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Thidén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ramon María Waddington made a huge save. Ramon María Waddington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Olof Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River LOA's Ramon María Waddington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save River LOA from getting a goal against them. Ramon María Waddington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Hedlund in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Bengt-Åke Thidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramon María Waddington was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Hedlund in the 76th minute of play forced River LOA's goalkeeper Ramon María Waddington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Hedlund struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ramon María Waddington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linköpings AIK. With a little luck, River LOA's Ramon María Waddington got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Thidén tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Olof Brolin hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, River LOA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruesga Melo to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Åke Thidén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ramon María Waddington made a huge save. Ramon María Waddington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Hedlund in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, River LOA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruesga Melo to maneuver through the defense. When Olov Bock came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Linköpings AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Bock couldn't finish the play.
