An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaineus Georgousopoulos in the 4th minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Durvalino Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cambotinha EC's Durvalino Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaggelis Kountouroudas in the 6th minute of play. Antônio Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Cambotinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Eger. After 19 played minutes Unione Sportiva got a freekick which was hit by Alkeides Touchakis. 22 minutes into the game, Charalambos Christou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Durvalino Dracena. Charalambos Christou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Unione Sportiva booed when Cambotinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durvalino Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vaggelis Kountouroudas in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Odysseas Rousses had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Durvalino Dracena. Cambotinha EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odysseas Rousses was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hector Volakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Hector Volakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Custódio in the 44th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Unione Sportiva's Durvalino Dracena threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Charalambos Christou, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cambotinha EC's Durvalino Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkeides Touchakis in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play Cambotinha EC's Antônio Eger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Cambotinha EC's Antônio Eger got a free kick in the 47th minute. Durvalino Dracena acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Antonis Samios. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Durvalino Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkeides Touchakis in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Toledo during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Unione Sportiva's Charalambos Christou in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 84th minute, Fiori Coutinho made a precise shot to the right of Hector Volakis. Unione Sportiva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After having played for 87 minutes, Vaggelis Kountouroudas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unione Sportiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Kountouroudas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 minutes, Dagoberto Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambotinha EC and the Unione Sportiva players grew even worse after the yellow card.
