Ronny Sele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dilmen Saylan having to interfere. Kubat Karataş was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ booed when SEFEROĞULLARI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kubat Karataş didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Bernd Heid cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dilmen Saylan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Herbert Good proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ from getting a goal against them. Tanju Çırakoğlu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Pollakowski in the 16th minute of play forced SEFEROĞULLARI's goalkeeper Dilmen Saylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Pio Erne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dilmen Saylan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of SEFEROĞULLARI booed when ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Casutt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berkant Barkın recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berkant Barkın charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berkant Barkın the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, SEFEROĞULLARI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkant Barkın to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Sele was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Roland Hilbe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SEFEROĞULLARI the free kick. The supporters of SEFEROĞULLARI booed when ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Hilbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. SEFEROĞULLARI's Gökçen Aynacıoğlu was substituted for Ahmet Erdem Kaçan. Ahmet Karabugra kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Bernd Heid took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Dilmen Saylan to make any attempt to save it. Dilmen Saylan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronny Sele's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, SEFEROĞULLARI's Emirhan Cevar got a free kick in the 66th minute. SEFEROĞULLARI made a substitution. Sezen Çokay replaced Ahmet Karabugra. After 66 played minutes SEFEROĞULLARI got a freekick which was hit by Emirhan Cevar. Dilmen Saylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Sele, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Herbert Good showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berkant Barkın in the 76th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match, Adam Pollakowski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dilmen Saylan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Georg Pfeiffer kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
