Alekos Volakis hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Berenguer Cieza came free, but Kostas Tsioris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Aioros FC's Patricio Bezanilla got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Nikos Kosmidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Efraim Mill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xaiver Saes during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Aioros FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC Milan:s goal. Nikos Kosmidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efraim Mill having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Nikos Kosmidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Efraim Mill. Aioros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikos Kosmidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Eneko Olañeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kostas Manouselis fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Kostas Manouselis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, one of AC Milan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC Milan. In the 43rd minute, Pavlos Kazakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frances Veguri to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Eneko Olañeta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kostas Tsioris was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 68th minute of the match Patricio Bezanilla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kostas Tsioris skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st minute Berenguer Cieza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Tsioris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Kosmidis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Efraim Mill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. In the 78th minute Patricio Bezanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Tsioris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kostas Manouselis hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kostas Tsioris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Güega's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
