In the 3rd play minute Róbert Varga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gordon Banks. 1-0. FENERBAHÇE's Korkut Kırgız got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Varga in the 10th minute of play forced HFA FC's goalkeeper Gordon Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute FENERBAHÇE were awarded a corner. Ali Kağan Özerek went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FENERBAHÇE's corner Miroslaw Nieuzyla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gordon Banks quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute Róbert Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Banks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbert Varga in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gordon Banks saved HFA FC from getting behind. Gordon Banks came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga. But to his dismay, Róbert Varga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gordon Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Nieuzyla in the 21st minute of the match. Gordon Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbert Varga in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gordon Banks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, FENERBAHÇE's Anıl Zaik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Turi in the 38th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Róbert Varga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HFA FC's Gordon Banks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mondi Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Pacifico in the 44th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Mondi Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mondi Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Gorka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anıl Zaik hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the game, Ali Kağan Özerek landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Eder during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Eder hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Róbert Varga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gordon Banks was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Róbert Varga notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of HFA FC's Gordon Banks. Gordon Banks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Greger Andberg hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Dario Ciceron got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Pedrinho Geromel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gordon Banks. HFA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute, Róbert Varga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordon Banks was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 84 minutes into the game, FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gordon Banks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Korkut Kırgız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gordon Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. HFA FC's Gordon Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korkut Kırgız in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th match minute, HFA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Evarado to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FENERBAHÇE had played much better football throughout.
