Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Markusson in the 3rd minute of the match. If Inge Braa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Inge Braa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rigoberto Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Inge Braa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rigoberto Nazario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Robert Wilson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inge Braa in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Nazario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonny Fingers hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Celedonio Madeo got a free kick in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Nazario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rigoberto Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Rigoberto Nazario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inge Braa's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Erland Markusson hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven de Zwaan was the one to do the kick off. Rigoberto Nazario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Doffes Damer's Knut Utfal was substituted for Inge Braa. Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Aires in the 78th minute of play.
