Luís Hernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Boni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Andriy Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Rosio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luís Hernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Angelo Boni made a huge save. Farafulla FC's Angelo Boni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Hernandez in the 39th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Farafulla FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletas Campesinos F.C.:s goal. Ciro Ostadar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Paulo Rosio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Behçet Alp in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luís Hernandez made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Hernandez in the 56th minute of play forced Farafulla FC's goalkeeper Angelo Boni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Farafulla FC booed when Atletas Campesinos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Peru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Luís Hernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farafulla FC's Angelo Boni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Atletas Campesinos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Rosio should have stopped the shot. Farafulla FC's Angelo Boni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Hernandez in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ryan Portanares could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Paulo Rosio however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Handi during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Remigio Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behçet Alp in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Farafulla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Hernandez came free, but Angelo Boni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Farafulla FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
