After having played for 4 minutes, Esben Nordborg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esben Nordborg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute SC Braga were awarded a corner. Benjamin de Lara went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Lu Xun Lei managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 11th minute, Basilio Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Eguntsenti came free, but Laçın Cumayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Gimnasia y tiro were awarded a corner. Esben Nordborg went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Esben Nordborg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Laçın Cumayev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Laçın Cumayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Montrelle in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wieslaw Panasewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Pipis Dilberis got a free kick in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Montrelle came free, but Laçın Cumayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Zigmantas Gimbutas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batuhan Modrić was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz. Wieslaw Panasewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Braga's Geraldo Lucas was substituted for André Jordão. SC Braga made a substitution. Yang Sang Yang replaced Valdomiro Lira. Amado Parente made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Benjamin de Lara. 67 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wieslaw Panasewicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. SC Braga made a substitution. Stig-Åke Mattsson replaced Zigmantas Gimbutas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 75th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Stig-Åke Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Mattsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gimnasia y tiro made a substitution. Jonatan Euloxu replaced Basilio Guillem. Wieslaw Panasewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Åke Mattsson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Narūnas Baltramaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Benjamin de Lara missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 87 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Wieslaw Panasewicz right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y tiro's zone, Benjamin de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wieslaw Panasewicz came out of the goal and Benjamin de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Braga's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
