In the 10thth minute of the game Abdulkerim Türköne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Abdulkerim Türköne sped through Espen Steelers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregor Kobel. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Marcos Basso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulkerim Türköne came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Holmgren in the 18th minute of play. Bastian Von Axelson scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregor Kobel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulkerim Türköne in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Torgny Söderström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ipswich Traktor Boys's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 34th minute of play. If Rogelio Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Williams Imholz got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Abdulkerim Türköne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Kobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Montez was the one to do the kick off. After taking down the ball on Espen Steelers's corner Alain Berset fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Basso quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60th minute, Rogelio Montez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Williams Imholz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Herbert Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 79th minute Ekain Menendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Basso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Schmid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Ipswich Traktor Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipswich Traktor Boys's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 92nd minute of play. Ipswich Traktor Boys's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
