The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Damian’s Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Ubriaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Reynoso's late challenge caught a Vascogoianiense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian’s Team:s Nenko Topchev showed great skill when he stopped Aírton Sousa:s penalty. 35 minutes into the match, Aírton Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nenko Topchev. Damian’s Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aírton Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some careless play in the Damian’s Team defense, Carlos Eduardo Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nenko Topchev. The Damian’s Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nenko Topchev should have stopped the shot. Damian’s Team's Ramon Reynoso managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sidnei Leão in the 41 minute of the game. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Damian’s Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Oliveiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nenko Topchev. That made the score 1-7 after 77 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Damian’s Team defense, Aírton Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nenko Topchev. The Damian’s Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nenko Topchev should have stopped the shot. Aírton Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nenko Topchev was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Gilmar Monteiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilmar Monteiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-9. In the 91st minute of the match, Carlos Eduardo Sergipano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nenko Topchev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
