Raimond Lenk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piratas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paolo Rossi was slow to take the kick. During this time Montesacro FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 12th minute, Egil Sjögren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Raimond Lenk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Sjögren in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's Egil Sjögren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimond Lenk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute Egil Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Loco Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egil Sjögren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Serafino Loi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paolo Rossi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Raimond Lenk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montesacro FC. In the 44th minute Loco Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Nunez Hernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Giacomo Casanova was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Piratas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montesacro FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Idacio to strike the kick off in the second half. Damian Bernabel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Montesacro FC made a substitution. Anthony Del Gatto replaced Paolo Rossi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Palermo in the 61st minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes Piratas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juliusz Julien who took care of the corner kick. 65 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Illart came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loco Palermo. After 69 minutes of play, Piratas FC's Spyros Zacharioudakis made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giacomo Casanova was left in no man's land by his defense there! Piratas FC made a substitution. Arnulfo Lidon replaced Nunez Hernandez. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk got control of the ball when Loco Palermo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Nestor Illart made a precise shot to the right of Giacomo Casanova. Montesacro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Nestor Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk got control of the ball when Egil Sjögren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Lidon in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Montesacro FC booed when Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spyros Zacharioudakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Montesacro FC's Loco Palermo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raimond Lenk. Raimond Lenk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
