Sebastião Xoxe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute Norbert Major shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobald Jajko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Palma came free, but Sebastião Xoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Donzel. Tottenham Hotspurs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Norbert Major scored to the left of an out of position Teobald Jajko, making the score, 1-1. Teobald Jajko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norbert Major in the 35th minute. Sebastião Xoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Palma in the 36th minute of the match. Norbert Major blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobald Jajko having to make a save. Teobald Jajko made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Norbert Major sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 43 minutes, Norbert Major managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norbert Major was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teobald Jajko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norbert Major in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tottenham Hotspurs made a substitution. Kaur Rännu replaced Attilio Limitone. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Palma was the one to do the kick off. Tottenham Hotspurs's Teobald Jajko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefanos Stefanopoulos in the 55th minute of play. Pogoń Szczecin made a substitution. Dariusz Harbaszewski replaced Jurand Debowski. Tottenham Hotspurs made a substitution. Gary Bale replaced Remigio Ticho. Sebastião Xoxe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaur Rännu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 81 minute of play. If Stefanos Stefanopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaur Rännu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastião Xoxe came out and tried to block the shot, but Kaur Rännu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 86th minute. Pogoń Szczecin's Chadli Boudjedra was substituted for Conrado Donzel. After 92 minutes of play, Pogoń Szczecin's Chadli Boudjedra made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teobald Jajko was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastião Xoxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Dalmau went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-5 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tottenham Hotspurs eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
