Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraklis Rapanos in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's Iraklis Rapanos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dumitru Doloman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mario Jakobe might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Máximo Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Jakobe ran back to his position shaking his head. Xinto Carreiras's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Dumitru Doloman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainier Gregoire in the 30th minute of play forced Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Rainier Gregoire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Doloman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iraklis Rapanos in the 36th minute of play forced Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mario Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Viola Invest from getting a goal against them. Máximo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Viola Invest getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Francisco Su hit a great ball. The Viola Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Doloman should have stopped the shot. Máximo Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 60th minute of play. Gavril Anghelescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Correia having to interfere. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Feng Jun replaced Xinto Carreiras. Sporting Buceo's Charly Good was substituted for Rainier Gregoire. Sporting Buceo's Sebastian Muc was substituted for Iraklis Rapanos. Dumitru Doloman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Muc, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. But to his dismay, Sebastian Muc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Máximo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonin Lauze in the 89th minute of the match. Dumitru Doloman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Jun in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Feng Jun came free, but Dumitru Doloman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viola Invest's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
