In the 6th minute Maxim Tsigalko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timmy Henriksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubinho de Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Maxim Tsigalko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Amaral should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes in the game Paulo Tinoco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luís Guilherme Cabral. In the 19th minute Maxim Tsigalko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes, Gonçalo Sarmento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Cruzeiro FC and the Samurai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute of the match Jens-Ove Blomqvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubinho de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Maxim Tsigalko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubinho de Amaral was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 25th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Samurai's Allan Bivall to fire away a dangerous shot which Rubinho de Amaral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 27th minute Samurai were awarded a corner. Allan Bivall went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Samurai's corner Allan Bivall fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho de Amaral quite easily take care of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Nico Zonta in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Samurai's Alto Wing. After 38 minutes, Maxim Tsigalko made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Timmy Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho de Amaral having to interfere. Rubinho de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Allan Bivall went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Maxim Tsigalko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxim Tsigalko made a kick off. In the 50th minute Maxim Tsigalko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Nico Zonta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Samurai's Morgan Vassenius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rubinho de Amaral was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Timmy Henriksson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Timmy Henriksson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 62nd minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samurai's Esbjörn Hultstrand was substituted for Timmy Henriksson. Samurai made a substitution. Ian Prutton replaced Hernán Grana. Tales Batista made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Samurai's Morgan Vassenius. Rubinho de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wu Qi went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Vince Di Cola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Zonta in the 72nd minute of the match. Samurai's Morgan Vassenius quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paulo Tinoco, made in the 74th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Cruzeiro FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 75th minute, Samurai got a penalty, and Allan Bivall placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 83rdth minute of the game Wu Qi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Wu Qi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esbjörn Hultstrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esbjörn Hultstrand. In the 91st minute Wu Qi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho de Amaral was a little too slow when Wu Qi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Samurai left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Cruzeiro FC.
