With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmund Balkiewicz in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Hermes saved O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting behind. In the 8th minute Yan Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guga de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Penha in the 14th minute of the match. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Murillo in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Hermes in the 22nd minute of play forced Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Guga de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Andrew Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match O MOTIVO ⚽ got a corner. Xandeco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emili Lean ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guga de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xandeco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emili Lean was slow to take the kick. During this time O MOTIVO ⚽'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Bertoni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guga de Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Xandeco FC booed when O MOTIVO ⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Edmund Balkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guga de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Bertoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Andrew Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga de Azevedo came out of the goal and Andrew Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Balkiewicz to make the kick off. Andrew Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Guga de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Bertoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Guga de Azevedo made a huge save. In the 64th minute of the match O MOTIVO ⚽ got a corner. Xandeco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emili Lean ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee ignored Xandeco FC's protests and gave Edmund Balkiewicz a yellow card for diving instead. Edmund Balkiewicz hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Balkiewicz in the 72nd minute of play. Nicolas Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Erivaldo Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xandeco FC. In the 80th minute of the game Dito Maranhense made a throw-in which Naldo Goiano played forward. Yan Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Guga de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xandeco FC's Geraldo Palmeira was substituted for Antônio Martins. Xandeco FC's Rüdiger Joinvilense was substituted for Hugo Vander. In the 84th minute Edmund Balkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Guga de Azevedo made a huge save. Yan Penha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Guga de Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. The O MOTIVO ⚽ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Xandeco FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
