Denti della Vecchia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Inaki Mirabal ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 23rd minute Chen Shi Ran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Denti della Vecchia's Fritz Hernström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Epifanio Gabrio. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the match, Denti della Vecchia's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Pires came free, but Fausto Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes Penuel Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Corderall Nieves. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Kornatowski in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Gabrio saved Penuel Football Club from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Eduardo Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tolek Kornatowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Chen Shi Ran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fausto Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Penuel Football Club's Luis Miguel was substituted for Eduardo Pires. Penuel Football Club's Vivaldo Carmona was substituted for Chen Shi Ran. Denti della Vecchia's Tadeu Bittencourt was substituted for Tolek Kornatowski. Fritz Hernström hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Stamatis Pavlakos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Penuel Football Club's Epifanio Gabrio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis Miguel took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Pinho. Fausto Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Fausto Pinho made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Luis Miguel sent off a good shot on target. If Furtado Ozaolaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Carmona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Fausto Pinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96th minute Stamatis Pavlakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Penuel Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
