KFC Cromvelde's Cosmin Contra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Iribarren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 47 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Stanislao came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Stanislao to make the kick off. Jochen Van den Panhuizen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé 武松 got free with Jorge Iribarren in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute Denis Stanislao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Iribarren came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Cromvelde's Dé 武松. But to his dismay, Dé 武松 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jorge Iribarren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andries Vermeiren's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Jorge Iribarren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andries Vermeiren in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Sacronas Futbol Club's Roberto Perfumo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roberto Perfumo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sacronas Futbol Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roberto Perfumo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Sacronas Futbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KFC Cromvelde:s goal.
