In the 10th minute Isidro Gines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Verdun made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mathijs Rokeloos sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathijs Rokeloos in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmond Verdun saved Errecaborda AFC from getting behind. Isidro Gines hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Errecaborda AFC defense, Mathijs Rokeloos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmond Verdun. The Errecaborda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmond Verdun should have stopped the shot. When Mathijs Rokeloos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the KFC Cromvelde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathijs Rokeloos couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Errecaborda AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KFC Cromvelde:s goal. The goalkeeper, Edmond Verdun, was totally fooled by KFC Cromvelde's Cosmin Contra, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mathijs Rokeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmond Verdun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Mathijs Rokeloos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Cromvelde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathijs Rokeloos in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KFC Cromvelde's 沈笑伟 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aírton Urbano, made in the 40th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé 武松 in the 51st minute of the match.
