With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabien Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ground Control's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ikonom Kopchev was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Capixaba's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ikonom Kopchev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ground Control's Fabien Nunes did a great save. 32 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Karakevych came free, but Murilo da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Augusto Guimarães was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored Ground Control's protests and gave Charlie Wiltord a yellow card for diving instead. Charlie Wiltord hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match.
