After a rather tough play, Ground Control's Ibrahim Gaudel got a free kick in the 2nd minute. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save FC CSKA from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ground Control's zone, Ahmet Refik Ülgü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabien Nunes came out of the goal and Ahmet Refik Ülgü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabien Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Ground Control was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibrahim Gaudel to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Ground Control's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Fabien Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Karakevych's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georgi Velinov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Fabien Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 20th minute of the match. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ground Control's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Georgi Dimitrov was slow to take the kick. During this time FC CSKA's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 30th minute of play forced Ground Control's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes, Ahmet Refik Ülgü made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ground Control's Fabien Nunes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Todor Yanchev. Ground Control's Fabien Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 43rd minute of play. Frédéric Courtial charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédéric Courtial the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Frédéric Courtial hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Ground Control's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Fabien Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in FC CSKA's zone, Frédéric Courtial stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgi Velinov came out of the goal and Frédéric Courtial tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC CSKA's Ahmet Refik Ülgü slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabien Nunes. That made the score 0-2 after 60 minutes of play. Fabien Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Karakevych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédéric Courtial was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 72 minutes into the match, Anton Karakevych had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georgi Velinov. FC CSKA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Karakevych was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédéric Courtial in the 75th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frédéric Courtial had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Karakevych came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Ground Control got a corner. FC CSKA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ibrahim Gaudel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruslan Dzhalev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frédéric Courtial hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ground Control's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ruslan Dzhalev in the 89th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Fabien Nunes kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 93 minutes into the game, FC CSKA's Ruslan Dzhalev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
