An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Verón in the 5th minute of play forced the Red Devils's goalkeeper Sören Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, the Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Verón came free, but Sören Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Furkan Erbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radomil Mietus got free with Sören Glanselius in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Club Sportivo Quilmes were awarded a corner. Qu Xuan Yang went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Quilmes's corner Qu Xuan Yang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sören Glanselius quite easily take care of the ball. Sören Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Verón in the 11th minute of play. Radomil Mietus kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 14thth minute. Though ot was a great shot the Red Devils's keeper Sören Glanselius was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Pastor Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Furkan Erbay in the 15th minute of play. Eliseo Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sören Glanselius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Verón went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Pastor Firman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Furkan Erbay's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Furkan Erbay in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pastor Firman saved Club Sportivo Quilmes from getting behind. In the 25th minute of the match the Red Devils got a corner. Club Sportivo Quilmes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Selahaddin Yeler ran over to the corner to take the kick. the Red Devils's Selahaddin Yeler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pastor Firman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edmílson Martinss short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Sören Glanselius to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 28th minute Club Sportivo Quilmes were awarded a corner. Qu Xuan Yang went to the cornerflag to take it. Qu Xuan Yang made a great header on Club Sportivo Quilmes's corner, it was just that the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius managed to reach the ball for a save. the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save the Red Devils from getting a goal against them. Ignacio Telo made in the 36th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sebastian Verón immediately put the ball in play. Sören Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes the Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Marques. Edmílson Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sören Glanselius having to make a save. 48 minutes in the game, Radomil Mietus dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Furkan Erbay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 55 minutes on the clock, Jordão Sesimbra commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Club Sportivo Quilmes a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Qu Xuan Yang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius. 2-0. 61 minutes into the game, Sebastian Verón cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sören Glanselius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ladio. In the 69th minute Furkan Erbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hayati Tunçbay thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Sören Glanselius, a very annoying self made goal in the 74th minute which led to 4-0. 77 minutes into the game, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Edmílson Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sören Glanselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The corner ended in Qu Xuan Yang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius did a great save. the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Mietus in the 85th minute of play. Club Sportivo Quilmes's Pastor Firman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Quilmes from getting a goal against them. Furkan Erbay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pastor Firman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Club Sportivo Quilmes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
