The supporters of GUSESI booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Arpaia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Scatena in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Camillo Pavlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Martano in the 23rd minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Flavio Scatena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorci Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Scatena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ovidio Favila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The GUSESI fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when GUSESI's Ovidio Favila looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute, Andrzej Karaszkiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Stenman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. GUSESI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Bonelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Camillo Pavlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorci Viola's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Pavlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thibaut Courtois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidio Favila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Armando Bonelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
