An unexpectedly hard shot by Martijn August in the 21st minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil got control of the ball when Dan Kjellman tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Bal op het Dak's Dan Kjellman got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Club Vertigo from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Kjellman got free with Ovidiu Caranfil in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Vertigo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Dan Kjellman scored to the left of an out of position Ovidiu Caranfil, making the score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dumitru Teodoroiu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for FC Bal op het Dak. Marick Brunt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ovidiu Caranfil. 2-0. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Valentijn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Caranfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match FC Bal op het Dak got a corner. Club Vertigo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marick Brunt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Iwan Valentijn took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidiu Caranfil. Ovidiu Caranfil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Kjellman in the 93rd minute of play.
