With an all-out effort, Aioros FC's Anders Lundqvist threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bento Chandeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Beat Vid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 14th minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Mats Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beat Vid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Chandeiro in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 27th minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Nyström came free, but Beat Vid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aioros FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arne Tönnberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Lions FC's players had a chance to rest. Bento Chandeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 32nd minute of play. Beat Vid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loco Durazno's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Joschi Hook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beat Vid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aioros FC's Beat Vid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Aioros FC from getting a goal against them. Gilbert Alströmmer kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 61 minutes in the game Escobar Kerim did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Escobar Kerim. 64 minutes into the game, Loco Durazno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beat Vid. Loco Durazno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bento Chandeiro sped through Golden Lions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Cosme Larpe replaced Georg Termander. Aioros FC made a substitution. Jose Miguel Núñez replaced Domingo Perón. 79 minutes into the game, Burç Tokhan lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Beat Vid. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. İbrahim Efe Topdemir replaced Hazım Tuğlu. Burç Tokhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Beat Vid made a huge save. Jose Miguel Núñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Golden Lions FC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
