The Leon Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weverton Pras should have stopped the shot. Aldas Balūzis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Weverton Pras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lauro Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes Leon Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omid Kaulbach who took care of the corner kick. Corneliu Dridu struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Weverton Pras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dr Lecter SC. 19 minutes into the game, Leon Sport Club's Valdo Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosme Pere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Corneliu Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Weverton Pras having to interfere. Weverton Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Antunes in the 23rd minute of the match. Cosme Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Talavera in the 28th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Talavera. In the 31st minute, Corneliu Dridu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corneliu Dridu scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Weverton Pras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 37 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Prado. Cornel Chira's late challenge caught a Dr Lecter SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornel Chira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Cornel Chira got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Lauro Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Cornel Chira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Leon Sport Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dr Lecter SC were winning 1-2.

56 minutes into the game, Giovanni Massa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Giovanni Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Pere having to interfere. Corneliu Dridu came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Weverton Pras could save by the left post. After 64 minutes Leon Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omid Kaulbach who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Omid Kaulbach got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Weverton Pras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leon Sport Club made a substitution. Davi Alexandridis replaced Giovanni Massa. Dr Lecter SC's Wes Vranx was substituted for Dieguinho de Medeiros. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Augustin Ţopescu replaced Válbson Batista. In the 89th minute, Valdo Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Weverton Pras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Alexandridis came free, but Cosme Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Corneliu Dridu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Dr Lecter SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dr Lecter SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
