After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Enzo Bot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Quirino came out of the goal and Enzo Bot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erasmo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Tino having to interfere. In the 21st minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Anacleto Navarro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Club El Progreso were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
