In the 10th minute Eric Luican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Cesaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Cesaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18thth minute of the game Bengt-Arne Åberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 19th minute of play forced ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafin Cesaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Isauro charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Isauro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Isauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Bengt-Arne Åberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Baldomiro Txindoki however easily saved by the left post. Baldomiro Txindoki made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Bengt-Arne Åberg sent off a good shot on target. After the first half FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Ruben was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 51st minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. were awarded a corner. Aaron Min went to the cornerflag to take it. Serafin Cesaro was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Qian Chao Tian capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Qian Chao Tian really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Serafin Cesaro was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Gigel Horhoianu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigel Horhoianu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When Eric Luican came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Luican couldn't finish the play. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Serafin Cesaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gigel Horhoianu got a free kick in the 90th minute.
