When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Shi Li took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mikolaj Szotek to make any attempt to save it. Wojciech Malicki's late challenge caught a Galati Harbour Cats's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wojciech Malicki helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lekko Spoceni getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Wojciech Malicki hit a great ball. Ianis Man fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Szotek having to interfere. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Jaworski in the 18th minute of play. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maciej Jaworski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lekko Spoceni's Mikolaj Szotek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onurhan Çinuçin in the 24th minute of play. Mikolaj Szotek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ianis Man in the 27th minute of the match. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maciej Jaworski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maciej Jaworski in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Soare saved Galati Harbour Cats from getting behind. In the 38th minute Galati Harbour Cats were awarded a corner. Dan Petrescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Dan Petrescu made a great header on Galati Harbour Cats's corner, it was just that Lekko Spoceni's Mikolaj Szotek managed to reach the ball for a save. Mikolaj Szotek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a rather tough play, Lekko Spoceni's Jaroslaw Wnukowski got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maciej Jaworski made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Zdrobiş. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Ibañez in the 57th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Soare made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Maciej Jaworski sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lekko Spoceni's goalkeeper Mikolaj Szotek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mikolaj Szotek came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li. But to his dismay, Shi Li quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lekko Spoceni made a substitution. Eder Aleixo replaced Jiří Bažant. Lekko Spoceni made a substitution. Marc-André Van Bastén replaced Maciej Jaworski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ianis Man in the 70th minute of play forced Lekko Spoceni's goalkeeper Mikolaj Szotek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Ianis Man left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lekko Spoceni's goalie prevented a goal. Marc-André Van Bastén had several of the Galati Harbour Cats's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Octavian Soare as he didn't even see the shot coming. 91 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Marc-André Van Bastén came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
