An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Punta in the 9th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Juventus F.C.'s Claudio Caniggia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Punta in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Punta in the 17th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Juventus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Caniggia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo Montanari in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Christobal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Christobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessio Punta went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Vaino Funda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DEPORTIVO SJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus F.C. the free kick. Vaino Funda kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the DEPORTIVO SJ defense, Alessio Punta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Christobal. The DEPORTIVO SJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Christobal should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filiberto Bermudez to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56 played minutes DEPORTIVO SJ got a freekick which was hit by Vaino Funda. Isidro Christobal was a little too slow when Carlo Montanari got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-4. Isidro Christobal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Louis Tomlinson. With his leg Isidro Christobal managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Juventus F.C.'s Alessio Punta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Juventus F.C.'s Alessio Punta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidro Christobal. That made the score 0-6 after 68 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Punta in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Christobal saved DEPORTIVO SJ from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Juventus F.C.'s Alessio Punta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Isidro Christobal. Isidro Christobal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Alessio Punta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isidro Christobal having to make a save. Isidro Christobal made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alessio Punta sent off a good shot on target. Alessio Punta might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessio Punta ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alessio Punta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isidro Christobal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessio Punta in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Bernardo Benarrivo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Juventus F.C.'s Alessio Punta got a free kick in the 90th minute. Vaino Funda made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Josef Mohammad. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Benarrivo in the 93rd minute of play forced DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alessio Punta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Isidro Christobal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Juventus F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
