With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vencel Mezei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Mascarenhas in the 12th minute of play. The Pénzügyőr SE fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Pénzügyőr SE's Erben Kiewit looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 17 minutes into the game, Arkadiusz Piatek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vencel Mezei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Piatek came free, but Vencel Mezei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Arkadiusz Piatek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkadiusz Piatek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pénzügyőr SE's goalkeeper Vencel Mezei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Albäck in the 34th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Pepe Payet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 39th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vencel Mezei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertil Albäck was the one to do the kick off. The corner ended in Bonifacio George almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume did a great save. In the 91st minute of the match, Erben Kiewit got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mano Hume was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Antoni Walas came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Utopía Muerta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoni Walas couldn't finish the play. Pénzügyőr SE were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Utopía Muerta FC to leave the ground with a draw.
