The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Tsebelis in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Michelangelo Merganiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Jaume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garrapatita Futbol's Fernan Garoa got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garrapatita Futbol's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jaume, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Garrapatita Futbol booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureo Morera didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markos Seremetidis in the 19th minute of play forced Garrapatita Futbol's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 23rd minute of the match. Fernan Garoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akis Sarafis having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Kyriakos Seremetis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Turin in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the game Teo Acosta made a throw-in which Alan Turin played forward. Hermengildo Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markos Seremetidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Garoa in the 39th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Garrapatita Futbol's corner Alan Turin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Akis Sarafis quite easily take care of the ball. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Turin in the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Markos Seremetidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Jaume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

AFC Ajax made a substitution. Bob Marley replaced Markos Seremetidis. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Turin to strike the kick off in the second half. Hermengildo Jaume made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Michelangelo Merganiotis sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's Michelangelo Merganiotis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Jaume narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Garrapatita Futbol from getting a goal against them. The Garrapatita Futbol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermengildo Jaume should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute Stavros Tsebelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Jaume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Sarracino to maneuver through the defense. Akis Sarafis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Gorri in the 94th minute of play. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Txeru in the 96th minute of the match. The Garrapatita Futbol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AFC Ajax's performance. The match ended with a win for AFC Ajax.
