Sliema Dragons FC's attentive Baran Erozan managed to snatch the ball when Ulysses Schmidt made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Bartolo Salvator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Bolas in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Elias Navarro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Barrie Kerridge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Bartolo Salvator, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner. Leszek Cupial went to the cornerflag to take it. Bartolo Salvator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Sliema Dragons FC booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Ariando didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Polo Quinteros lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Barrie Kerridge. Bartolo Salvator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Polo Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of San Fernando Eagles booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matteo Borda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bolas came free, but Bartolo Salvator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartolo Salvator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Cupial, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leszek Cupial in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Salvator saved San Fernando Eagles from getting behind. Bartolo Salvator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Bolas in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Eagles's Michael Stor got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Bartolo Salvator didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kim Bolas went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sliema Dragons FC's Barrie Kerridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Enceanu in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vlad Enceanu was the one to do the kick off. Bartolo Salvator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Bartolo Salvator had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Bolas. 61 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bartolo Salvator. Kim Bolas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. San Fernando Eagles's Vicente Sol was substituted for Vlad Enceanu. A hard shot 69 in the game by Kim Bolas from a close distance when the talented Bartolo Salvator managed to make a qualified save. San Fernando Eagles's players were relieved. In the 74th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Salvator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Fernando Eagles's Niceto Chorache was substituted for Roque Ariando. San Fernando Eagles's Daniel Abeitia was substituted for Elias Navarro. Barrie Kerridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Polo Quinteros in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Sol in the 83rd minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Barrie Kerridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Cupial in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th play minute Leszek Cupial came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bartolo Salvator. 1-4. In the 86th minute Leszek Cupial shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Salvator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Salvator made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Dejan Cassar sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Dejan Cassar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dejan Cassar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bartolo Salvator. That made the score 1-5 in the 93 minute of play. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
