The audience thought a goal was coming when Kong Sen Ting got free with Ger Tollenaar in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hamit Koryürek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Kamps, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Hamit Koryürek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ger Tollenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Thierry Emry FC were awarded a corner. Mustafa Haydar Sağan went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Kong Sen Ting managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Kong Sen Ting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ger Tollenaar having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Gijsbert Bults was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albertus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thierry Emry FC the free kick. Gijsbert Bults kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ger Tollenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kong Sen Ting in the 29th minute of play. Thierry Emry FC's Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Platvoet in the 37th minute of play. Hamit Koryürek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ger Tollenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Ger Tollenaar, was totally fooled by Thierry Emry FC's Hamit Koryürek, who 50 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamit Koryürek to strike the kick off in the second half. Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christijan van Asseldonk, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Albertus FC got a corner. Thierry Emry FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pieter Theissen ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Frits Platvoet heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 60th minute of the match, Ted Kamps tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Albertus FC's Ger Tollenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şakir Salti in the 62nd minute of play. When Thierry Emry FC's Hamit Koryürek in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albertus FC's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Hamit Koryürek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ger Tollenaar. Albertus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hamit Koryürek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Thierry Emry FC made a substitution. Gürhan Ünsi replaced Şakir Salti. With a little luck, Thierry Emry FC's Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck got control of the ball when Ted Kamps tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürhan Ünsi in the 77th minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ger Tollenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Ted Kamps shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anıl Baran Tamkut hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 84 played minutes Thierry Emry FC got a freekick which was hit by Anıl Baran Tamkut. After 95 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Kamps. Ger Tollenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürhan Ünsi in the 98th minute of the match. When Pieter Theissen fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albertus FC's protests and gave Pieter Theissen a yellow card for diving instead. After 100 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Hartlief. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Thierry Emry FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Albertus FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
