Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Team Rocco's Osvald Fredriksson got a free kick in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on SAO JOANENSE FC's corner Elói Cosme fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sven-Edvin Mårtensson quite easily take care of the ball. Vincent Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent Olofsson in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. In the 36th minute, one of SAO JOANENSE FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SAO JOANENSE FC. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Unesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAO JOANENSE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ralf Vase was slow to take the kick. During this time Team Rocco's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Team Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joar Bergfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 minutes, Tony Strandberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Team Rocco and the SAO JOANENSE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Catarinense was the one to do the kick off. After 50 minutes, Elias Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAO JOANENSE FC and the Team Rocco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Veloso. With an all-out effort, Team Rocco's Amadeu Lamego threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vincent Olofsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Cosme in the 53rd minute of play. Amadeu Lamego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Göran Unesson in the 55th minute. Dudu Palmeira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Amadeu Lamego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Amadeu Lamego managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Team Rocco's Göran Unesson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Catarinense in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Team Rocco getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Joar Bergfeldt hit a great ball. Elias Veloso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Edvin Mårtensson. Team Rocco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Vincent Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Amadeu Lamego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sebastian Nordlund charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Nordlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Olofsson came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Team Rocco were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after SAO JOANENSE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ralf Vase took the corner. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Cosme in the 88th minute of the match. The Team Rocco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Team Rocco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
