SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songurbey Tuncal in the 5th minute of play. Abelardo Carvalho got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Virgílio Simão. JiOmaro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tolga Yeltekin in the 11th minute. JiOmaro's Tolga Yeltekin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeu Lamego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of JiOmaro booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mourits Nelander in the 18th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Veloso got free with Mirkelam Özdoğru in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24thth minute of the game Mourits Nelander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Songurbey Tuncal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Songurbey Tuncal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mourits Nelander during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes JiOmaro got a freekick which was hit by Mourits Nelander. 32 minutes into the game, Abelardo Carvalho threw the ball into play from the sideline. JiOmaro's Joel Azeredo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurbey Tuncal in the 33rd minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Songurbey Tuncal in the 35th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Songurbey Tuncal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, JiOmaro's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Cosme came free, but Mirkelam Özdoğru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dudu Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Elias Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurbey Tuncal in the 41st minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elói Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAO JOANENSE FC's protests and gave Elói Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. Elói Cosme hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurbey Tuncal in the 47th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murillo Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songurbey Tuncal in the 52nd minute of play. Amadeu Lamego was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Songurbey Tuncal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Songurbey Tuncal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. With a little luck, SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego got control of the ball when Songurbey Tuncal tried to sneak it across the goal line. JiOmaro were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after SAO JOANENSE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tolga Yeltekin took the corner. 64 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Songurbey Tuncal came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. JiOmaro's Levent Kandemir was substituted for Ali Nabi Demirtaş. In the 71st minute, Songurbey Tuncal made a precise shot to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Amadeu Lamego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Songurbey Tuncal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 82 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Songurbey Tuncal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Lamego. That made the score 0-5 in the 88 minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Nicklas Hedström heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SAO JOANENSE FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
