In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monia&Ibrahim's goalkeeper Marcus Sjöö, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Raphael Leo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Fernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Alejo Larra was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qin Kun Xi in the 27th minute of play forced Monia&Ibrahim's goalkeeper Marcus Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Dusett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Pil in the 37th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's Qin Kun Xi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Sjöö narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Velez sarsfield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Monia&Ibrahim had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
