Sandro Andersen started the match with the kick off. Sandro Andersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. Helmut Alabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Di Blasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismaele Santo Strub, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, FC Triesenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Di Blasio came free, but Helmut Alabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmut Alabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Di Blasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Helmut Alabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro do Valle in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Harm de Freitas made a precise shot to the right of Helmut Alabor. FC Triesenberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 19th minute, Alessandro do Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MarquinhosEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, FC Triesenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Di Blasio came free, but Helmut Alabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmut Alabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro do Valle in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Sandro Andersen notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu. Matei Răducu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute Harm de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmut Alabor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Alessandro do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Helmut Alabor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute, Sandro Andersen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Triesenberg's Helmut Alabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm de Freitas in the 39th minute of play. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Gantenbein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helmut Alabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harm de Freitas in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, FC Triesenberg's Thorsten Nägele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matei Răducu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harm de Freitas to make the kick off. When Antonio Jauch fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Triesenberg's protests and gave Antonio Jauch a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when FC Triesenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Jauch didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Triesenberg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Harm de Freitas scored to the left of an out of position Helmut Alabor, making the score, 2-4. After 65 minutes of play, MarquinhosEC's Fausto Di Blasio made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmut Alabor was left in no man's land by his defense there! MarquinhosEC's Marco Tardelli was substituted for Harm de Freitas. MarquinhosEC's Esteve Quinto was substituted for Mark Kovalev. Esteve Quinto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Helmut Alabor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Freitas in the 71st minute. Helmut Alabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Tardelli in the 76th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes FC Triesenberg got a freekick which was hit by Thorsten Nägele. After some careless play in the MarquinhosEC defense, Ismaele Santo Strub kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matei Răducu. The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matei Răducu should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Thorsten Nägele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, FC Triesenberg's goalkeeper Helmut Alabor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Di Blasio. When the match was over MarquinhosEC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Triesenberg throughout the match.
