In the 16th minute Faustin Hamet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigiusz Paciuszko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Arif Çelebi Ergener had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigiusz Paciuszko. Mestre GG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arif Çelebi Ergener was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 23 minutes into the match, Tours Football Club's goalkeeper Lech Blochowiak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benson Beverley. The audience was convinced that Boguslaw Makarewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lech Blochowiak was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Tours Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Garcia came free, but Lech Blochowiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mestre GG's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arif Çelebi Ergener made a kick off. A collision led to Tours Football Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Charles-Emmanuel Camilleri hit a great ball. After 61 minutes, Faustin Hamet made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Mestre GG's Remigiusz Paciuszko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mestre GG's Remigiusz Paciuszko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrille Jenny in the 67th minute of play. Tours Football Club made a substitution. Christophe Régnault replaced Ulysse Houssais. In the 73rd minute of the match Tours Football Club got a corner. Mestre GG's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guy Jourdan ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Faustin Hamet at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Mestre GG. 1-7. Benson Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lech Blochowiak having to interfere. Tours Football Club's Cyrille Jenny got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Jorginho Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Blochowiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lech Blochowiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benson Beverley, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cyrille Jenny. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tours Football Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
