An unexpectedly hard shot by Vili Kärki in the 19th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Makarewicz couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miroslaw Miazga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Despite being the better team, Mestre GG failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
