Jardel Head took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göksel Canfeda. Göksel Canfeda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkay Şahiner got free with Gilles Eekhout in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jardel Head took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göksel Canfeda. Göksel Canfeda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Göksel Canfeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Head in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by istanbulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rupert Hermes was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Milan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on AC Milan's corner Rupert Hermes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Göksel Canfeda quite easily take care of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Jardel Head had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Göksel Canfeda. istanbulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel Head was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Göksel Canfeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Head, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Göksel Canfeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Head, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göksel Canfeda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Head's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute AC Milan were awarded a corner. Rupert Hermes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rupert Hermes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Göksel Canfeda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Hermes in the 42nd minute of play forced istanbulls's goalkeeper Göksel Canfeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Head came free, but Göksel Canfeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jared Wolfman hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute AC Milan were awarded a corner. Rupert Hermes went to the cornerflag to take it. Jared Wolfman charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Jardel Head's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göksel Canfeda was relentless in the 67th minute of the game.
