The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zoran Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Montaña in the 6th minute of the match. With his leg Zoran Simović managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when LOI's Sulo Montaña fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Víktor Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Magalhães in the 17th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atak Koral to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, 17 de enero team's Víktor Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Buturugã narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özgür Özbay in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoran Simović saved 17 de enero team from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Víktor Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. LOI's George Buturugã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Magalhães in the 54th minute of play. Den Barraclough made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LOI's Bektaş Veli Ülgü. Bektaş Veli Ülgü kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The throw-in from Den Barraclough in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LOI's Bektaş Veli Ülgü. In the 59th minute of the match, Joel Gamus got a very nice opportunity to score, but George Buturugã was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 72nd minute Özgür Özbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulo Montaña in the 75th minute of play. LOI made a substitution. Tayyip Taylan replaced Ahmet Hamdi Ortan. The supporters of 17 de enero team booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 95th minute Tayyip Taylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 17 de enero team players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
