The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Grzegorz Rasiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Achille Albanesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Rasiak in the 3rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fulvio Grande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Hänninen was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Kim Hänninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Muzzolon in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match S.S.C. NAPOLI got a corner. Fragleses's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fulvio Grande ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fulvio Muzzolon made a great header on S.S.C. NAPOLI's corner, it was just that Fragleses's Kim Hänninen managed to reach the ball for a save. A hard shot 10 in the game by Fulvio Muzzolon from a close distance when the talented Kim Hänninen managed to make a qualified save. Fragleses's players were relieved. Richard Nixon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Kim Hänninen threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fulvio Grande, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 22nd minute Wiktor Gomolka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Albanesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Fragleses got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Gomolka. If Grzegorz Rasiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grzegorz Rasiak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. S.S.C. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulvio Muzzolon in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kim Hänninen saved Fragleses from getting behind. Grzegorz Rasiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Achille Albanesi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grzegorz Rasiak ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Grzegorz Rasiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Dave Pierucci was substituted for Richard Nixon. Grzegorz Rasiak hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Dave Pierucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Hänninen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiktor Gomolka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Achille Albanesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fragleses made a substitution. Conrado Cardozo replaced Halim Tetiker. In the 77th minute, Fragleses's Wiktor Gomolka ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Achille Albanesi. Achille Albanesi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 82 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Rasiak came free, but Achille Albanesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Wiktor Gomolka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fragleses made a substitution. Radoslaw Czerwinski replaced Roch Dejo. A collision led to Fragleses getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Wiktor Gomolka hit a great ball. Dave Pierucci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim Hänninen having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Pierucci in the 91st minute of play forced Fragleses's goalkeeper Kim Hänninen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fragleses defense, Dave Pierucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kim Hänninen. The Fragleses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Hänninen should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
