He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CRIMINAL MAMBO reached it. 7 minutes into the game, CRIMINAL MAMBO's Carmelo Marz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodosio Iigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11th minute Tom Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Carmelo Marz managed to get in a good position for a shot. CRIMINAL MAMBO's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Marz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Iigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruperto Frances showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. CRIMINAL MAMBO were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after AZURDUY F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bertil Brodin took the corner. CRIMINAL MAMBO's Bernardo Mattin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodosio Iigo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. CRIMINAL MAMBO's attentive Tomas Santikurtz managed to snatch the ball when Manuel Valerio made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Hermansson was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo got control of the ball when Carmelo Marz tried to sneak it across the goal line.
