The audience was convinced that Dian Hatala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Victor was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Colegas del Barrio's goalkeeper Paulo Victor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Los Colegas del Barrio's zone, Jojon Sopandi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Victor came out of the goal and Jojon Sopandi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Kranji Crunchy were awarded a corner. Jojon Sopandi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Kranji Crunchy's Jojon Sopandi to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Victor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dian Hatala in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Dian Hatala made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Victor. Los Colegas del Barrio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Garry Mason kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dian Hatala in the 33rd minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The attack was good, but when Dian Hatala in the 51st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Paulo Victor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dian Hatala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Zosimo Ibanez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Colegas del Barrio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kranji Crunchy the free kick. After 60 minutes of play, Kranji Crunchy's Dian Hatala made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Victor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Los Colegas del Barrio's Olaf Iniesta was substituted for Cordarin Silva. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Bitxintxo Etxeberria replaced Cosme De Silva. Paulo Victor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dian Hatala, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 82nd minute, Dian Hatala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Ximun De la Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match Kranji Crunchy got a corner. Los Colegas del Barrio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bengt-Arne Bäckman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Demas Tarusbawa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 94 minutes into the match, Kranji Crunchy's Emmanuel Komara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Victor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Kranji Crunchy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kranji Crunchy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
